    Who Am I?

Hi! My name is Emily and I am a 4th year undergraduate Computer Science student at McGill University.

Outside of my studies, I currently serve as VP Communications for the GameDev McGill club, where I help connect students through events, announcements, and graphic advertisements using Figma for the events. Previously, I was the Graphics and Events Director for Concordia Game Development where I created promotional material using Canva for events and helping organize activities for aspiring game developers.

Additionally, I was an intern at Université de Montréal as a Game Developer and gained hands on experience creating educational games in the goal of making the learning process more interactive!

One of my favorite parts of game development is participating in game jams. I've taken part in a handful of jams over my undergraduate studies, with many of my projects earning a place on the podium. I love the collaborative environment that jams create, bringing together people with different skills to build something exciting in a short amount of time and also the potential to make new friends.

Beyond game development, I've discovered a strong interest in several areas through my coursework. Subjects such as:

    • Web Development
    • Database Systems
    • Object Oriented Programming
    • Theory of Computation
    • Functional Programming
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • UX/UI design
    My Projects
Single Mom In Your Area (3D Unity Game)
    UnityC#

Won 2nd place and Most Creative Award at the McGameJam 2026

This project is a 3D horror survival game that was made under 48 hours with 7 talented people and myself. The goal of the game is to collect all 5 babies of a tall scary woman who is hunting you down.

    How I contributed:

    • Programmed and designed the opening scene.
    • Integrated microphone detection that spawns the enemy closer to the player according to the noise amplitude.
    • Designed and drew the main menu background, the popup ad, and the babies.

This project is a 3D exploration and rhythm game that was made in 3 months with 6 talented people and myself. In this game, you are an astronaut who explores melodical planets.

    How I contributed:

    • Programmed the rhythm part (main game loop, see first screenshot).
    • Integrated the UI for the rhythm part.
    • Animated and programmed the states of the astronaut (idle, walking), the battle animations during the rhythm part (attack, damaged).

    Dino Souls
    UnityC#

Won 2nd place at the ÉTS Test Jam 2026

This project is a 2D arcade-like dinosaur extinction simulator that was made under 48 hours with 5 talented people and myself. In this game, you must launch natural disasters on an island inhabited by dinosaurs and make them go extinct.

    How I contributed:

    • Programmed the currency logic and the floating animations of currency when a dinosaur is killed.
    • Programmed and designed the leaderboard by storing scores in a JSON data file.
    • Designed and drew the dinosaurs, the natural disasters, and the main menu background.
